It’s 5:22AM and I’m lying wide awake in my bed here at the Stobbe house in Brandon, MB. I’m awake because after The Human Race and I drove 11hrs from Calgary, I thought it’d be a great idea to have Burger King at 1:30 in the morning.

So as I lay here, thumb punching characters into my iPhone… I’m wide awake, leaving for Thunder Bay for our matinee show at The Bean Fiend and starring down the barrel of a 9 hour drive.

Oh sure it’d be great if we were only playing tonight, then at least we could sleep in, I wouldn’t have to, as I will in about 10 mins, carefully tiptoe downstairs as not to wake our host, ease open the door and with as much gentleness as a mother rising a child, tell The Human Race (Adam) as I call him, to get up so we can sit in my now rather uncomfortable Ford Focus….or The Blue Baron(ess) as she’s affectionately known, for another long ass haul to the next venue in this massive national tour we’re on.

No, no I’m not complaining. One could be so lucky I suppose…one…could also be asleep though :)

This my friends is what tours all about.
